The track ‘Am I Your Woman?’ is a cover of the Chi-Lites’ classic ‘Are You My Woman (Tell Me So)’ from their third album Four Flights Up, which title was inspired by a memorable night spent dancing until dawn at a club on the 4th floor of a building in Osaka during Speedometer's 2005 Japan tour. Featuring Ria Currie on vocals, this rendition delivers a more refined groove, with Lia’s powerful performance truly standing out. On the B-side, you’ll find a cover of the killer jazz-funk track ‘Nam M'Yoho Ren'Ge Kyo,’ originally recorded by the Night Blooming Jazzmen. This project was curated by jazz critic Leonard Feather and featured Mainstream All-Stars like Blue Mitchell, Charles Kynard, and Paul Humphrey.
