Since their formation in 2014, Lucid Express have not only made waves across Asia but also successfully completed tours in the UK and US, earning their place as one of Hong Kong’s leading shoegaze bands. Following the release of their self-titled debut album Lucid Express in 2021, their popularity quickly spread worldwide. This year, they successfully embarked on a US tour with Letting Up Despite Great Faults, and became the only Asian band invited to perform at SLIDE AWAY—a newly launched shoegaze festival in Los Angeles and New York City—further expanding their global presence.

Their long-awaited new album, Instant Comfort, the band’s first in nearly five years, overflows with songs that fuse the dreamlike euphoria of lush, beautiful noise with catchy melodies reminiscent of ’90s guitar pop.
