Shakey Jake, the harmonica player and singer uncle of Magic Sam, released his debut single in 1958 on Artistic, a subsidiary label of Cobra, featuring Sam on lead guitar. The A-side "Roll Your Money Maker" is a super-joyful sing-along medium shuffle blues with impressive guitar playing by Sam, which is the origin of Elmore James' "Shake Your Moneymaker," which was selected as one of the "500 Songs that Shaped Rock and Roll" by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Fripp's "Call Me (If You Need Me)" is a superb slow blues that shows how much Sam was influenced by Jake. Sam's guitar playing here is also superb.
