Laura Misch is a multidisciplinary artist and producer from London. Her unique style blends experimental and jazz-infused electronica to create a sound that’s both refreshing and emotive, as well as highly conceptual. Playing saxophone, flute, synth and more, she carefully crafts intricate, layered arrangements that showcase a deft technical ability while also conveying warmth and intimacy. Her music has been praised for expanding horizons using sound art, field-recording and scientific theory, with an accessibility and emotional resonance.
Following her signing to One Little Independent Records, she’s set to release her debut album, ‘Sample The Sky’ in October. When studying Biomedical science at university she looked through microscopes at a reality beyond what our eyes can see. 10 years on, this album led her round a full circle to another phase of distillation, this time with not just with science in mind, but with spirit too, with a heavy focus on the climate justice movement.
