A'bear is a multi continental psychedelic electronic musician, composer and DJ making riffy cosmic polyrythms weaved between melodic and dreamy layered loops. It's an incredibly unique and consciousness raising experience.

South African born, Australian raised and London grown, Janine A'Bear's music production has garnered international attention. She's a magnetic live performer and her hypnotic live synth sets are impossible to tear yourself away from. She's performed alongside a plethora of brilliant electronic artists including Jana Irmert, Electric Indigo, AJA, Christopher Chaplin, Lia Mice, Loraine James, Loula Yorke, Jo Johnson, Bass Clef, The Utopia Strong, Lone Taxidermist and Renick Bell.

She's also performed at Rocket Recordings events and the Wire Magazine 400th issue celebrations. She's appeared at several Castles in Space Levitation festivals where she always delivers a nuanced set of psychedelic bangers. There's a strong live feel to the album, but also proper artistry going on here.

Her debut album "Ear Of The Heart" garnered rave reviews from Electronic Sound and The Queitus. She's been featured on the wonderful Elizabeth Alker's Unclassified show on BBC 3.

Janine has been performing at many experimental electronic festivals including the Braille Satellite Festival in Lithuania, Brainchild of The Queitus Acid Horse Festival in Wiltshire, Supernormal in Oxfordshire and Meakusma, Belgium. She's also appeared at the Castles in Space curated Levitation Festival several times.

Not limited to the dance floor, in January 2024 a’bear composed and performed a cinematic electronic live score combining processed vocals and electro acoustic compositions for two Luis Bunuel films- L'Age d'Or and Un Chien Andalou at the iconic covent garden cinema in London to a sold out crowd.

She hosts a monthly regular online radio host at threads radio, London- with collaborator and friend Lia Mice. Eastblenders is an experimental show focusing on supporting DIY musicians and the stranger, offbeat deeper, psychedelic and unbound sounds blended from all over the globe.

"Altered Fetes" is a fantastic record full of psychedelic beauty and invention. It's A'Bear's first release on vinyl and is served up on a heavyweight pressing by our friends at Dunk in Belgium.
